Exhibition December 1-16th 2018

Busy** painting and drawing and writing cards for this local exhibition , which is the only one in the area this year. I have decided on a title:

EVERYTHING IN THIS HOUSE TELLS A STORY!

TOUT DANS CETTE MAISON RACONTE UNE HISTOIRE!

Galerie La Carrée, 19 rue des Capucines, 46700 Puy L’Eveque

everyday 14.30 6 18.00  Dec 1 – 16th

**I can’t manage any classes now until 2019.

Haras, near Lectoure

The inspiration for this painting was a visit two years ago to the Haras of a friend, there was all the paraphernalia of riding, horses and family in a lovely stone building. The life was both inside and outside, the light outside beckoned…..

who buys: statistics

Just for fun thought I’d analyse my sales over the last 7 years.
Of course I only know the clients that I have personally been involved with. Information on those who buy the paintings that are sold through galleries is very sketchy, but I have included what I know. One interesting phenomena is that someone who buys one often becomes a collector, which is really wonderful. This year someone bought five, a couple bought six, someone added a third to their collection. Most usually it is a ‘coups de couer’ when someone was not thinking of buying but spontaneously wants to own a painting they fall in love with. The prices have ranged from from 120€ to 2000€.

French buy the most (not surprisingly as I exhibit in France)
British come a close second ( again my contacts are mostly Britsish and we have a lot of British tourists in the Lot)
Americans are next, about half the number of British ,sales are through galleries mostly
The other larger group are Dutch clients
In single figures their are Danish, German and Belgiums and a gentlemam from Kuwait

Souillac 46200 ‘Errances’ June 15 -28 2015

This is a group show on the theme of ‘ Errances ‘or wanderings. The show was also on last year and I am exhibiting the moving work that I produced for that (see post 23 june 2014) plus another titled ‘lost and found’ about the journey through the maze of our consciousness. It is a very interesting show in a beautiful exhibition space, in the centre of a cute town. Artists are always there to welcome you.

Solo exhibition announced in Paris

Talking to Martine Moisan of Galerie Moissan in the fabulous covered arcade which is Galerie Vivienne (just opposite the Bibliotheque National) I think I was offered a solo show, well she asked if I wanted one and I said yes. Of course details will have to be sorted but I hope it works out.
